Fraud Watch

Help Identifying Fake Websites & Emails

Markets.com is a global company with more than 5m registered accounts which is regulated in Europe, Australia and South Africa. Unfortunately, there are certain websites and fraudsters who wish to take advantage of our brand name and seek to impersonate us.

Examples of what to look for:

  • An email requesting personal details, financial information such as card details, or even to transfer funds.
  • Fraudulent websites may present themselves as a “VIP platform” of Markets.com and ask you to deposit money to it.
  • You may be sent fake documents (such as “portfolio management agreements”) bearing the logos of Markets.com and/or Playtech PLC.

Please note:
We will never contact you requesting you to make a deposit. The decision to fund your account is entirely up to you and we can only facilitate your request. However, please note that in circumstances where your account funds fall below the necessary margin requirements (margin call), we are required to inform you of this situation.

Our available payment details are located on the website. Our company is always the beneficiary in each of our bank accounts. An employee of the company cannot ask you to deposit funds in a bank account that is not on the name of our company.

We can communicate to you through phone, email and chat. Our contact details can be found on the website.

We only use official channels of communication and our emails would always carry the @markets.com domain and its multiband company variations @za.markets.com, @global.markets.com.

We will never guarantee you profits / fixed returns on your investment.
